Job summary

Huntsville Hospital Health System seeks a Pediatric Speech Therapist to lead assessment, diagnosis and treatment of speech, language, social communication, cognitive communication and swallowing disorders in patients from birth to age 21. The role collaborates with the medical team, maintains records, and supervises staff as assigned.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s in Speech Therapy/Communication Disorders, ASHA CCC or CFY eligibility, Alabama licensure, and BCLS certification.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Speech Therapy/Communication Disorders required.
• ASHA CCC or CFY eligibility and Alabama license required (or pending CFY).
• BCLS certification within orientation period.
• Experience with pediatric speech, language, swallowing and feeding disorders preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose and treat pediatric speech, language, social, cognitive communication and swallowing disorders (birth-21).
• Collaborate with medical team and maintain documentation and progress notes.
• Supervise staff and students as assigned and provide patient education.
