Job summary

Encompass Health in Parkersburg, WV is seeking a Speech Pathologist Fellow to deliver patient-centered care under supervision of a licensed SLP, evaluating, planning, and implementing personalized treatment for speech and language needs in an inpatient rehab setting.

This role offers exposure to advanced therapy technologies, credentialing opportunities (CCC within two years), and a clear path to joining America’s largest rehabilitation company.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current state license in Speech Language Pathology.
• CCC certification expected within the first 2 years of employment or as directed by ASHA.
• BLS (CPR) required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Inpatient rehabilitation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating, assessing, developing, and administering personalized treatment plans for patients with speech and language rehabilitation needs.
• Identifying issues and modifying speech therapy treatment if necessary.
• Tracking and documenting patient performance, progress, and response to treatment.
• Celebrating patient victories along the way.
