Job summary

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree from an accredited program in speech-language pathology.
• Current state license as a Speech Language Pathologist or ability to obtain before starting.
• Excellent interpersonal, fiscal, and clinical skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients for swallowing disorders and communication/cognitive impairments using evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
• Establish treatment goals and develop and implement Speech Pathology treatment programs based on a full clinical evaluation.
• Provide rehabilitative services under specific medical orders as part of a coordinated team.
• Participate in clinical conferences to share and coordinate patients’ plans of care.
• Treat residents one-on-one through private, individualized treatment sessions using a function-based treatment approach.
