Job summary

The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) invites applications for a Speech and Language Pathologist (SLP) at the J. Iverson Riddle Developmental Center in Morganton.

As a member of assigned homes’ interdisciplinary teams, you will provide evaluation, direct treatment, program planning, staff in‑service training, and consultation to ensure integrated services and person‑centered planning.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in speech and language pathology and licensure.
• Experience with augmentative communication systems.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate within interdisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide evaluation and direct treatment for communication and swallowing.
• Develop program plans and conduct staff in-service trainings.
• Consult with staff to ensure integrated services and documentation.
• Maintain required records and support person-centered planning.
