Job summary

Lumen Pediatric Therapy LLC is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate children, develop individualized treatment plans, and deliver evidence-based speech therapy to support communication and development.

You will conduct assessments, create goals, provide one-on-one sessions, and collaborate with families to implement home programs while maintaining HIPAA-compliant records and participating in ongoing trainings.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Completion of all academic and clinical requirements to begin a Clinical Fellowship.
  • Eligible for Clinical Fellowship and temporary/provisional SLP licensure in Michigan.
  • Demonstrate Lumen Core Values daily.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations to diagnose communication and feeding disorders.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans and goals for each client.
  • Provide one-on-one therapy sessions based on the treatment plan.
  • Counsel, educate and advise families regarding communicative, cognitive and swallowing functioning, and develops home programs.
  • Maintain clinical documentation and progress notes according to policy (HiRasmus).
  • Complete re-evaluations yearly to document progress and continued eligibility.
  • Collaborate with training of clients, parents, and staff.
  • Maintain client confidentiality under HIPAA; provide a safe environment.

As a Speech-Language Pathologist at Lumen, your primary responsibilities include evaluating children, developing individualized treatment plans, and delivering evidence-based speech therapy interventions to support each child’s communication skills and overall development.

In This Role, You Will

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations to diagnose communication and feeding disorders
  • Develop individualized treatment plans and goals for each client based on their unique needs and abilities
  • Create goals and objectives for patients to work toward and identify areas of progress and challenges.
  • Provide one-on-one therapy sessions based on the client's individual treatment plan.
  • Counsel, educate and advise clients and their families regarding communicative, cognitive and swallowing functioning, and develops home programs for client as needed.
  • Maintain clinical documentation and progress notes and submit all required paperwork in a timely manner according to Lumen Pediatric Therapy’s policy (We use Hi Rasmus!)
  • Complete re-evaluations yearly to document progress and continued eligibility.
  • Collaborate, communicate, and assist with the training of clients, parents, and staff.
  • Maintain strict client confidentiality under HIPAA guidelines.
  • Provide a safe and supportive environment for client and family.
  • Attend clinic or payor required ongoing trainings to advance clinical practice & professional development.
  • Assist with additional clinical and/or administrative duties as delegated

Position Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Completion of all academic and clinical requirements necessary to begin a Clinical Fellowship
  • Eligible for Clinical Fellowship (CF) and temporary/provisional SLP licensure in the state of Michigan

Work Environment

  • Lumen Pediatric Therapy is a center-based clinical model which supports skill generalization across additional environments (e.g. home, school, or community) as specified by treatment plan and pre-approved by family, Supervising Clinician, & Lumen Pediatric Therapy.
