Position Overview

This position is responsible for the supervision of clinical assessment and treatment of speech‑language pathology graduate student clinicians, and for the provision of direct assessment and treatment of clinical clients during semester breaks or other times when students are not present. Direct services may be delivered via telepractice or in person at the UNT Speech and Hearing Center, based on client needs. The supervisor ensures that direct services reflect state‑of‑the‑art, evidence‑based practices. Responsibilities include planning and carrying out clinical assignments, resolving conflicts, coordinating student activities, maintaining contact with the clinical director, and ensuring adherence to clinic policies and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications

Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology and five years of clinical experience, including three years of clinical supervision experience with graduate‑level student clinicians. Experience delivering tele‑practice services.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Ability to work effectively with clients from a variety of backgrounds.
• Ability to collaborate with others to coordinate services to the client.

Preferred Qualifications

Clinical experience with both adult and pediatric populations; experience with Medicare and/or Medicaid documentation.

Job Duties

• Supervision of graduate student clinicians providing in‑person and telepractice treatment and assessment services to UNT Speech and Hearing Center clients.
• Delivery of assessment and treatment of clinic clients in‑person or via telepractice as determined by the clinic director.
• Actively participate in assisting the Clinic Director and Assistant Clinic Director, as well as academic and clinical faculty, to accomplish group and individual goals in a productive, cooperative, and collegial manner.

Physical Requirements

Communicating with others to exchange information; lifting and moving objects up to 20 pounds; repetitive motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers; primarily sedentary work that involves sitting or standing.

Work Schedule

Monday‑Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
