Job summary

PrepNet Virtual Academy, part of National Heritage Academies, is hiring a part-time Speech-Language Pathologist to serve K-12 online in Michigan. The role emphasizes collaboration with administrators, IEP planning, and direct speech-language services through various models.

You will work from home with a focus on supporting diverse learners, implementing goals, documenting progress, and coordinating with families and teachers to ensure student success.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology with CCC from ASHA.
• Experience working with at-risk student populations.
• Experience in a school-based or pediatric environment.
• Familiarity with IEP development, special education compliance, and collaborative service delivery.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with administrator over special education to develop daily service schedules.
• Coordinate evaluation timelines and annual IEP meetings.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings including eligibility determinations.
• Conduct speech and language evaluations and contribute to assessment planning.
• Develop and monitor individualized speech-language goals aligned with IEP.
• Provide specialized instruction to meet communication needs through service models.
• Document service delivery, progress notes, and compliance paperwork.
• Consult with teachers and families to support carryover of strategies.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and participate in other duties as assigned.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Collaborating with the administrator over special education to develop and coordinate daily service schedules, evaluation timelines, and annual IEP meetings
• Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings, including eligibility determinations, annual reviews, and progress monitoring discussions
• Conducting speech and language evaluations and contributing to assessment planning as part of the special education process
• Developing, implementing, and monitoring individualized speech-language goals aligned with each student’s IEP
• Providing specially designed instruction to meet the unique communication needs of students through a variety of service models.
• Documenting service delivery, progress notes, and compliance-related paperwork in accordance with state, federal, and organizational guidelines
• Consulting with teachers and families to support carryover of communication strategies across classroom and home environments
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Must hold a master’s degree in speech language pathology - CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Associate (ASHA).
• Experience working with at-risk student populations
• Experience in a school-based or pediatric environment
• Familiarity with IEP development, special education compliance, and collaborative service delivery model
