Job summary

National Heritage Online Academy North Carolina is seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to support students with diverse communication needs. This role is scheduled for 8 hours per week in a school-based setting.

The SLP will collaborate with the administrator, participate in IEP processes, conduct evaluations, and develop individualized goals aligned with each students IEP across multiple service models. Experience in schools and with at-risk populations is preferred.

Qualifications

• Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC) from ASHA.
• Experience working with at-risk student populations.
• Experience in a school-based or pediatric environment.
• Familiarity with IEP development, special education compliance, and collaborative service delivery models.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the administrator over special education to coordinate daily service schedules, evaluation timelines, and annual IEP meetings.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, including eligibility determinations, annual reviews, and progress monitoring discussions.
• Conduct speech and language evaluations and contribute to assessment planning as part of the special education process.
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized speech-language goals aligned with each students IEP.
• Provide specially designed instruction to meet the unique communication needs of students through a variety of service models.
• Document service delivery, progress notes, and compliance-related paperwork in accordance with state, federal, and organizational guidelines.
• Consult with teachers and families to support carryover of communication strategies across classroom and home environments.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
• Other duties as assigned.
