Job summary

Metrocare Services seeks a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant to provide speech language therapy and family education for ECI children under the supervision of the SLP-CCC. The role covers home, clinic, and community settings, using assistive technology to promote independence.

The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in Speech Language Therapy, 2+ years of experience with intellectual/developmental disabilities, and Texas licensure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Speech Language Therapy or related field.
• Two (2) or more years experience working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities.
• Licensed Speech Language Therapy Assistant by the Texas State Board of Examiners.
• Current State of Texas Driver License or equivalent if licensed in another state; must obtain Texas license within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Develops, implements and provides individual speech language therapy with infants and toddlers in inclusive and natural settings.
• Provides families with consultation and therapy services in home, clinic, or community settings.
• Uses assistive technology/adaptive equipment to support daily living skills and independence.
• Coordinates interdisciplinary services for families and completes documentation.
• Attends required ECI team meetings and complies with Metrocare/ECI policies.
