Uplift Education in Dallas, Texas seeks a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant to deliver a range of therapy services for students under supervision of a credentialed SLP. You will conduct individual and group sessions, monitor progress, and support families, teachers, and staff with communication goals.
Required is a Bachelor's with 24 hours in SLP/audiology, 25 hours of observation and 25 hours of assisting, plus a valid SLP-A license. Starting salary is $55,000.

The Speech Language Pathologist Assistant will provide a variety of speech therapy services for students to provide parents, teachers, and administrators and other school personnel information regarding a students' communication strengths and needs.
Under the supervision of a credentialed Speech-Language Pathologist, the Speech Language Pathologist Assistant completes a variety of tasks such as activities designed to develop pre-language and language skills, oral-motor control for speech production, vocalization, and use of assistive technology devices for communication to support students who receive Special Education services under the disabling condition of Speech Impairment. Additionally, under the supervision of a credentialed Speech-Language Pathologist, the Speech Language Pathologist Assistant will provide direct services to students, parents, teachers, administrators, and other school personnel in the general and special education settings and may provide staff development as requested.

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to sit and use the wrists, hands and/or fingers. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; climb or balance. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Work at a desk and computer screen for extended periods of time.
The work environment is representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The environment requires close proximity to other employees, frequent interruptions, extended periods of time viewing a computer screen, and noise levels from moderate to high. There may be activity from other employees and students of a distracting nature. Travel between campuses is also needed at times.
