Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology and Texas licensure or eligibility.
  • CCC-SLP preferred; school-based experience is a plus.
  • Experience with IEPs, evaluations, and ARD meetings is a plus.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills; ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

  • Provide speech and language therapy to students in the school setting.
  • Evaluate students with suspected disorders and develop recommendations (evaluation-only role available).
  • Develop and implement individualized IEP goals.
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and school staff.
  • Collect data and monitor progress toward goals.
  • Prepare evaluations, progress reports, Medicaid documentation, and other paperwork.

School-Based | Galveston County | Full-Time or Part-Time Opportunities

Milestones Matter Therapy is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to join our school-based team serving students in Galveston County. We are looking for a therapist who is compassionate, dependable, professional, collaborative, and genuinely enjoys working with children.

This position is ideal for an SLP who enjoys the school setting but also wants the support and connection of a private practice team. Our school-based therapists work with students with a wide range of communication needs while collaborating with teachers, families, special education staff, and other professionals.

We value therapists who provide individualized, strengths-based care, build meaningful relationships with students, and bring creativity and energy to their therapy sessions.

Responsibilities
  • Provide speech and language therapy to students in the school setting.
  • EVALUATION-ONLY role available! Evaluate students with suspected communication disorders and develop appropriate recommendations
  • Develop and implement individualized, measurable IEP goals
  • Provide therapy targeting articulation, receptive and expressive language, fluency, social communication, AAC, and other areas of communication
  • Work with neurodivergent students using a strengths-based and neurodiversity-affirming approach
  • Collect data and monitor student progress toward IEP goals
  • Complete evaluations, progress reports, Medicaid documentation, and other required documentation accurately and on time
  • Participate in ARD/IEP meetings and clearly communicate evaluation results, progress, and recommendations
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, special education staff, and other related service providers
  • Provide classroom strategies and staff education when appropriate
  • Manage a school-based caseload while maintaining high standards of clinical care
  • Maintain student confidentiality and follow district, state, and professional requirements
  • Communicate regularly with the Milestones Matter Therapy team regarding caseload needs, concerns, and support
Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Current Texas SLP license or eligibility for Texas licensure
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
  • School-based experience preferred but not required
  • Experience with IEPs, evaluations, and ARD meetings is a plus
  • Experience supporting neurodivergent students and/or AAC users is a plus
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organization and time-management skills
  • Ability to manage documentation and deadlines independently
  • Professional and confident when communicating with families and school teams
  • Dependable, honest, flexible, and willing to ask for support when needed
