Job summary

Geisinger is seeking a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist at the Geisinger Shamokin Area Community Hospital. This role involves providing comprehensive speech therapy services, including evaluation and treatment for communication disorders. Candidates must hold a Master's Degree in Speech Pathology and ideally have at least 2 years of related experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years related work experience preferred.
• Certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days.
• Licensed Speech Language Pathologist in Pennsylvania.

Responsibilities

• Assess participants’ swallowing, speech and language dysfunction.
• Perform evaluations within 48 hours of MD order.
• Plan individual therapy interventions and establish treatment priorities.
• Provide therapeutic interventions for restoring function.
