Job summary

Geisinger Community Medical Center in Scranton, PA seeks a Per Diem Speech-Language Pathologist to deliver evaluation and treatment of speech, language, and swallowing disorders. Provides video fluoroscopy swallowing studies and serves as a resource for staff.

Responsibilities include comprehensive assessments within 48 hours of MD orders, developing care plans, delivering individual therapy, documenting thoroughly, and maintaining competencies.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required in Speech Language Pathology.
• PA licensure in Speech Language Pathology required.
• ASHA CCC certification required.
• BLS certification within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Assess swallowing, speech, and language disorders and feeding dysfunction.
• Perform evaluations within 48 hours of MD order.
• Develop comprehensive care plans for each patient.
• Provide individual therapy and establish treatment goals with timeframes.
• Document all clinical services thoroughly and maintain competency.
