Job summary

Ascension Providence in Waco, TX is hiring a Speech-Language Pathologist to join the Acute Care team. You’ll perform therapy interventions, educate patients and families, and maintain clinical records.

You’ll counsel on treatment plans and assist with discharge planning, with access to tuition reimbursement and comprehensive health benefits.

This full-time role requires TX licensure within 12 months and BLS within 30 days; a range of benefits supports professional growth.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider obtained within 30 days of hire date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist credentialed from the Texas State Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology within 12 months of hire date (or SLP-Intern).

Responsibilities

• Performs therapy interventions utilizing standard therapy techniques and skills as appropriate for the condition of the patient.
• Educates and counsels patient and family regarding treatment plans.
• Maintains clinical records and follows performance improvement recommendations.
• Plans and/or assists with patient discharge from speech therapy services; provides information regarding support programs.

High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Required Credential(s): BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist credentialed from the Texas State Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date. Will also accept Texas-Speech Language Pathologist - Intern

Education
