HCA Florida Brandon Hospital in Brandon, FL is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to join our acute care team. The role includes planning and administering medically prescribed treatment programs for rehabilitation of speech, language, cognitive, and oral motor disorders.

You will evaluate conditions, develop and adjust treatment plans, and determine when goals are met or when intervention is no longer required. This full-time position offers comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology required.
• State of Florida SLP licensure required.
• Minimum 1 year experience in direct patient rehab.
• Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC) awarded by ASHA required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate the patient’s condition, obtain case history, and administer diagnostic tests to determine nature and degree of speech and language problem.
• Establish, implement, and modify treatment plans, in accordance with hospital/department policies and procedures.
• Determine when patient progress and goals have been met or medical necessity no longer warrants intervention.
• Establish provisions for continuing services and make referrals to other professionals regarding patient care as necessary.

We are currently seeking an ambitious Speech Therapist to join our team on a full‑time basis. As a Speech Language Pathologist on our team, you will plan and administer medically prescribed treatment programs for the rehabilitation of speech, language, cognitive, and oral motor disorders. Requirements:

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills; ability to read/comprehend written instructions; ability to follow verbal instructions; PC skills
