Job summary

Meliora Academy in Connecticut provides individualized education for students with autism and related challenges. As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you’ll deliver individualized speech, language, and feeding services to students ages 3–22, collaborating with families and a multidisciplinary team to strengthen communication and access AAC supports across school, community, and vocational settings.

You’ll develop and deliver research-based therapy, create reports and IEP goals, and supervise SLPAs

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.
• CT Certification and DPH licensure required.
• ASHA CCC-SLP certification required.
• Experience supporting neurodiverse students with AAC and total communication.

Responsibilities

• Screen and assess receptive/expressive language, speech, feeding, and functional communication.
• Collaborate to select and program AAC systems for each student.
• Deliver therapy services individually and in small groups across school and community settings.
• Create assessment reports, IEP goals, annual performance reports, and progress updates.
• Partner with families and multidisciplinary professionals; supervise SLPAs or Clinical Fellows as needed.
