Job description

We are currently partnering with an excellent district in Cook County, IL searching an experienced Early Childhood Speech Language Pathologist for the remainder of this school year and for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year.

This district is seeking a compassionate service provider to deliver speech and language services for young learners in early childhood settings. The role supports communication development and social-emotional growth through developmentally appropriate, play-based interventions in collaboration with a student-centered team.

  • Location: In-person (no hybrid or remote options available) in Cook County, IL
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-3:00pm
  • Guaranteed Houts: 32.5 hours per week
  • Grade Levels: Early childhood, ages 3-5
  • Start Date: January 2026
  • End Date: May 2026, option to renew for the 2026-2027 school year
Responsibilities
  • Provide targeted speech and language therapy services and developmentally appropriate interventions for children in early childhood settings.
  • Assess, identify, and treat speech, language, and communication delays to support early learning, play, and social development.
  • Collaborate with families, educators, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement IEPs and IFSP-aligned goals as appropriate.
  • Conduct evaluations and ongoing progress monitoring to guide intervention and ensure compliance with state and district requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services, assessments, and child progress.
  • Participate in IEP meetings, team consultations, and professional development focused on early childhood best practices.
  • Support inclusive early learning environments by promoting communication development through play-based and routines-based approaches.
Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.

  • Speech Language Pathology License in the state of Illinois.
