Job summary

Austill's is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP) or Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) for a 3-day/week position in an elementary school setting for the 26-27 school year. Support is available. Responsibilities include direct therapy, collaboration with teachers and families, and IEP-related documentation. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Speech and Language Pathology Program.
• CCC certification preferred or Educational/Instructional Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Direct therapy with students in preschool to grade 12 (SLPA under CCC-SLP supervision).
• Consultation with teachers, therapists, staff and families to facilitate classroom participation.
• Documentation including data collection, progress updates, and yearly IEP revisions.
• Attendance at IEP meetings is recommended.
• Case management may be required (CCC-SLP).
• AAC consultation may be required.
• Some travel may be required throughout the school day.

Responsibilities of the Speech Language Pathologist

• Direct therapy with students in preschool to grade 12 (SLPA-under supervision of CCC SLP)
• Consultation with teachers, other therapists, support staff, and families to facilitate classroom mobility and participation (SLPA-under supervision of CCC-SLP)
• Documentation requirements include data collection, marking period progress updates, and yearly IEP revisions, including updated goals and treatment strategies.
• Attendance at IEP meetings is recommended.
• Case Management may be required (CCC-SLP only)
• AAC consultation may be required
• Some travel may be required throughout the school day

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Speech and Language Pathology Program
• CCC's preferred or
• Educational or Instructional Certificate
• Preferred candidates have experience working with children in the school setting.
