Job summary

Sandstone of Tucson is hiring a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join a compassionate team in Tucson, AZ. You will evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with speech and swallowing disorders while developing individualized therapy plans and educating patients and families.

Ideal candidates hold an active Arizona SLP license (or Compact) with strong clinical and communication skills, teamwork, and a patient-centered approach. Prior SNF/rehab experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Active Arizona SLP license or compact license is required.
• Strong clinical and critical-thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care.
• Experience in skilled nursing or rehabilitation preferred (not required).

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders.
• Develop individualized therapy plans tailored to each patient’s needs.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as appropriate.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on strategies to support communication and swallowing.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive care.
• Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to clinical protocols.
• Promote a safe and supportive environment for patients and staff.
