Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to deliver therapy in classroom and residential settings under IEP guidance. You will conduct evaluations, set present levels and goals, and present outcomes in IEP meetings.

The role includes ordering and training staff on AAC devices and creating supportive visuals for learning environments.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology required.
• CCC-SLP or CFY candidate acceptable.
• Illinois SLP license required upon hire.
• Illinois educator license with SLP endorsement required.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Conduct speech/language therapy sessions either in classroom or out of classroom, individually or in a group as outlined in the students’ IEPs.
• Write and implement IEP present levels and goal recommendations; present information clearly and effectively in IEP meetings.
• Ensure compliance with all IEP service minutes related to speech/language therapy for students on caseload.
• Order, create, and maintain Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices and resources for student use; assist in training teachers and staff on how to properly use AAC devices in the educational and residential settings.
• Design and create visuals and other assistive items and devices for use in the education and/or residential settings.
• Conduct formal and informal speech/language evaluations as determined necessary by the IEP team.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology.
• American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) Certificate of Clinical Competence or applicant in their Clinical Fellowship Year.
• Illinois Speech Language Pathologist State License upon hire.
• Illinois Professional Educator’s License with a Speech Language Pathology endorsement.
