Job summary

Daley And Associates, LLC. seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for an acute rehabilitation hospital in Sierra Vista, Arizona.

The role offers exposure to diverse patient populations and a broad range of speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in a hospital setting. Responsibilities include evaluating and treating patients, developing plans of care, documenting progress, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and supporting discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.
• Current licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist by the State Board of Speech-Language Pathology & Audiology.
• Meet the education and experience requirements for the ASHA CCC/CCC-A.
• Minimum of six months of SLP experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Rehabilitation or Acute Care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients with speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders.
• Perform comprehensive assessments and develop individualized plans of care.
• Provide evidence-based interventions and adjust treatment plans based on patient progress.
• Document evaluations, treatment, progress, and recommendations in accordance with standards.
• Collaborate with patients, families, physicians, nursing staff and the interdisciplinary care team.
• Provide patient and family education and counseling to support treatment goals.
• Assist with discharge planning and recommendations for continued therapy or services.
• Supervise clinical fellows, students, and support personnel as appropriate.

Our client, an established acute rehabilitation hospital in Sierra Vista, Arizona, is currently seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join their team. This is a strong opportunity for an SLP interested in a hospital-based setting with exposure to a diverse patient population and a broad range of speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients with speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders across diverse patient populations.
• Perform comprehensive assessments and develop individualized plans of care based on each patient’s clinical needs.
• Provide evidence-based interventions and adjust treatment plans based on patient progress and outcomes.
• Document evaluations, treatment, progress, and recommendations in accordance with clinical and professional standards.
• Collaborate with patients, families, physicians, nursing staff, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team.
• Provide patient and family education and counseling to support treatment goals and continuity of care.
• Assist with discharge planning and recommendations for continued therapy or supportive services.
• Supervise clinical fellows, students, and support personnel as appropriate.

Qualifications

• Meet the education and experience requirements for the Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology or Audiology granted by ASHA.
• Minimum of six (6) months of speech therapist/speech language pathologist experience
• Basic Life Support certification
• Rehabilitation or Acute Care experience preferred
