Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
Our client, an established acute-care hospital in Ada, Oklahoma, is currently seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join their team. This is a strong opportunity for an SLP interested in a hospital-based setting with exposure to a diverse patient population and a broad range of speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat patients with speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders across diverse patient populations.
- Perform comprehensive assessments and develop individualized plans of care based on each patient’s clinical needs.
- Provide evidence-based interventions and adjust treatment plans based on patient progress and outcomes.
- Document evaluations, treatment, progress, and recommendations in accordance with clinical and professional standards.
- Collaborate with patients, families, physicians, nursing staff, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team.
- Provide patient and family education and counseling to support treatment goals and continuity of care.
- Assist with discharge planning and recommendations for continued therapy or supportive services.
- Supervise clinical fellows, students, and support personnel as appropriate.
Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology required
- Current licensure as a Speech Therapist through the State Board of Speech-Language Pathology & Audiology
- BLS certification required within 60 days of hire
