Speech Therapist (Speech‑Language Pathologist) will empower individuals across the lifespan by evaluating and treating a range of communication and swallowing disorders, including speech, language, voice, fluency, cognitive‑communication, auditory processing, and dysphagia. The role mitigates these challenges to significantly enhance patients' functional abilities and quality of life.
As part of a multidisciplinary Outpatient Adult Neuro Rehab team that includes neurologists, neurophysiologists, speech‑language pathologists, physical therapists, and occupational therapists, the candidate will work closely with patients who have neurological, cognitive, and communication disorders. Responsibilities include participation in ALS and Parkinson’s Wellness clinics, performing and interpreting results of the Modified Barium Swallow Study (MBSS), and developing personalized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s condition and goals. The clinician will also attend case conferences, team meetings, and professional development activities to continuously improve clinical skills and knowledge.
