Job summary

Texana Center is seeking a Full-Time Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to evaluate, assess, and treat infants and toddlers across Fort Bend and Waller counties. You will work within a collaborative, family-centered environment to help children develop communication and developmental skills.

The role includes supervision of assistants and travel within the catchment area. The position offers a Monday–Friday schedule from 8:00 a.m.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in speech and language pathology or disorders.
  • Current Texas license as a speech-language pathologist.
  • Valid Texas driver license.
  • Knowledge of infant/child development and early intervention techniques.
  • Familiarity with community resources and assessment methods.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for positive interactions.
  • Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience with standardized testing instruments is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and assess infants and toddlers to determine eligibility and needs.
  • Develop and implement treatment programs tailored to each child.
  • Collaborate with families, IDT members, and program staff.
  • Provide training on language development, sensory/oral-motor skills, positioning, and assistive devices.
  • Document service delivery and client progress accurately.
  • Travel across the service area to serve families.
  • Supervise SLP Assistants, students, and/or interns.
  • Adhere to Texana Center policies and procedures.

Full Time Service Center - ECI, Rosenberg, TX, US

Salary Range: $88,000.00 To $88,000.00 Annually

Texana Center is seeking a Full-Time Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide evaluation, assessment, and treatment services to infants and toddlers and their families throughout Fort Bend and Waller counties. This is an opportunity to use your clinical expertise in a collaborative, family-centered environment while helping young children build the communication and developmental skills they need to thrive.

Role Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and assess infants and toddlers to identify eligible children and their individual needs.
  • Develop and provide treatment programming based on each child's needs.
  • Work as a member of the Trans/Interdisciplinary Team (IDT), partnering with families, program personnel, and consultants.
  • Provide training and support in areas including communication and language development, sensory and oral-motor development, positioning, and assistive technology devices and services.
  • Provide active treatment and maintain accurate documentation of service delivery and client needs.
  • Use professional initiative and independent judgment while working under the general supervision of a Program Supervisor or Program Director.
  • Travel throughout the assigned catchment area to serve children and families.
  • Provide supervision and oversight for Speech Language Pathology Assistants, students, and/or interns.
  • Promote and adhere to Texana Center's compliance policies and procedures.
Schedule & Compensation

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
Flexible hours may occasionally be arranged to provide the best support for families and program needs.

Salary: $88,000 annually

Deferred Sign-On Bonus: $5,000 with a satisfactory 5-month performance appraisal.

Bilingual SLPs are encouraged to apply! Bilingual SLPs must be competent to interpret English/Spanish as determined by achieving language proficiency on the MasterWord Spanish Proficiency Assessment and will receive a bilingual stipend.

Required Education and/or Certifications, Experience, Skills
  • Master's degree in speech and language communication disorders from an accredited college or university. Current license as a speech therapist.
  • Valid, Current Texas Driver License
  • Knowledge of infant/child development
  • Knowledge of early intervention techniques
  • Knowledge of community resources
  • Knowledge of assessment techniquesInterpersonal skills for positive interaction with individuals
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to communicate both orally & in writing
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment in applying departmental policy & procedure
  • Ability to use/interpret standardized testing instruments
Preferred Education and/or Certifications, Experience, Skills
  • Previous work experience in Pediatric Therapy
  • Bilingual and Pediatrics experience
