Job summary

SchoolHouse Staffing is seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join one of our outstanding school district partners in Plainfield, Illinois for the 2026–2027 school year. This is a full-time, contract position with pay of $50–$60 per hour depending on experience.

The SLP will evaluate and treat students with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders, collaborate with teachers and therapists, participate in IEP meetings, and ensure accurate documentation and compliance with

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with Speech-Language Pathologist endorsement or eligibility.
  • Illinois Speech-Language Pathology License, if applicable.
  • CCC-SLP preferred; CF candidates encouraged if district eligible.
  • School-based experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate students with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders.
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on evaluation results and IEP goals.
  • Provide direct speech-language therapy services in individual and group settings.
  • Collaborate with teachers, psychologists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and families to support student success.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to eligibility, goal development, and progress reporting.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, therapy notes, Medicaid billing (if applicable), and compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Monitor student progress and adjust intervention strategies as needed.
  • Promote functional communication skills that support academic, social, and emotional development.
