Job summary

The Octorara Area School District in Pennsylvania seeks a Speech Language Pathologist for an on-site, contract role in Chester County. The clinician will assess students’ speech, language, and communication needs, conduct screenings and evaluations, and develop individualized IEP goals.

You will provide direct and consultative therapy, collaborate with teachers and families, document progress, and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to support an inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in school-based or pediatric settings.

• Effective communication skills, including clear documentation and the ability to explain clinical information in accessible terms.
• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders from an accredited institution.
• Current state licensure or certification as a Speech Language Pathologist in Pennsylvania, and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred.
• Experience in school-based or pediatric settings and familiarity with special education regulations and best practices.

Role Description The Speech Language Pathologist is a contract, on-site role based in Chester County, PA, working directly in school settings within the Octorara Area School District. Responsibilities include assessing students’ speech, language, and communication needs, conducting screenings and evaluations, and developing individualized IEP goals. The role involves providing direct and consultative therapy services, collaborating with teachers, school staff, and families, and documenting progress in accordance with District and state requirements.

The Speech Language Pathologist also participates in multidisciplinary team meetings, contributes to educational planning, and supports a positive, inclusive learning environment for all students.
