Job summary

Area Cooperative Educational Services (ACES) seeks a Speech and Language Pathologist to support Bassett Road School students with diverse communication needs. The role includes direct and consultative services, collaboration with educators and families, and participation in PPTs and IEPs.

Licensed by CT DoH and possessing CCC-SLP, you will assess, write IEP goals, maintain service logs, and assist with Medicaid processes.

Qualifications

• Licensed by the Connecticut State Department of Health as a Speech Pathologist (license #061).
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology.

Responsibilities

• Assists students to acquire an age-appropriate communicative skill level.
• Provides diagnostic testing and assessment of referred learners.
• Writes and implements individual educational plans (IEPs) and tracks progress.
• Collaborates with teachers and parents to ensure carryover of therapy goals.
• Participates in planning and placement meetings to identify service needs.
• Performs Medicaid-related documentation and service logging as required.

ACES is seeking a Speech and Language Pathologistto work with students with a wide range of communication disorders in our programs at Bassett Road School. (Formerly Village School and SAILS/CASDD).Join a dynamic related services team working within ACES's schools.ACES is committed to mentoring and professional development for staff and encourages staff in gaining new knowledge and skills to best serve students. (Autism, Multiple Disability, social/behavioral/emotional challenges).Strong candidates will possess excellent oral and written communication skills, strong collaboration skills, and experience in administering a variety of diagnostic assessments, writing reports and presenting at PPTs.
