Job summary

Flagstar Rehab is seeking Speech Language Pathologists for Skilled Nursing Facilities in NYC and surrounding areas. You will evaluate and treat patients, educate families, and coordinate care with a multidisciplinary team.

Work options include Direct Employment or Independent Contractor, with weekly pay and flexible schedules across full-time, part-time, per diem, and weekend coverage.

Qualifications

• Current NYS SLP License and Registration.
• Clinical Competence Certification (CCC).
• CPR Certificate.
• EMR Competence.
• State Required Medical Documentation for work in a Skilled Nursing Facility.
• Malpractice/Liability Insurance (if applicable).

Responsibilities

• Provide efficient speech or swallow evaluations and/or screens of patients.
• Develop plan of care, downgrade/upgrade as appropriate, manage meal texture.
• Provide quality therapy services to individuals in an SNF setting.
• Monitor and document patient progress with EMR software.

Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Skilled Nursing Facility

Now Staffing Speech Language Pathologists for Rehab Department in state-of-the-art SNFs throughout NYC and Surrounding Areas.

Flagstar Rehab SLPs work with a diverse and multi-disciplinary team to perform evaluations, treatments, and patient/family education to improve the speech and swallow capabilities of their patients and improve ability to function in their daily lives. *Not accepting Clinical Fellows (CFY) at this time.

Flagstar Rehab offers the opportunity for Direct Employment with our agency or to Be Your Own Boss as an Independent Contractor. We can assist you with setting up a corporation free-of-charge.

Hourly Pay Rate: $42-$48 Hourly (W-2), $55-$61 Hourly (1099)

Speech Language Pathologist Job Duties:

• Provide efficient speech or swallow evaluations and/or screens of patients
• Develop plan of care, downgrade/upgrade as appropriate, manage meal texture
• Provide quality therapy services to individuals in an SNF setting, who require care related to TBI, CVA, Stroke, Parkinson's, Multiple Sclerosis, Cancer, orthopedic surgery, and other debilitating diagnosis.
• Monitor and document patient progress with the use of innovative EMR software.
