Job summary

Bond Health in Bronx, NY is seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to provide comprehensive SLT services in a healthcare setting. You will evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech-language disorders, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and document care in the electronic health record.

The ideal candidate holds NY SLP licensure (or eligibility) with CCC-SLP and pediatric healthcare experience; dysphagia and AAC experience are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Current NY SLP license or eligible for licensure.
• ASHA CCC-SLP required or eligible.
• Eligible for NY State licensure via CCC-SLP.
• Minimum 1 year pediatric/healthcare SLP experience preferred.
• Dysphagia experience is a big plus; AAC experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and identify speech therapy needs and provide SLH services as ordered by physician.
• Treat patients with speech-language pathology needs in a healthcare setting.
• Use devices and equipment to support speech and language rehabilitation.
• Plan and supervise use of equipment and exercise regimens with patients and families.
• Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and documentation in EHRs.
• Meet productivity expectations and participate in supervision as required.

Speech Therapist Needed - Bronx Location

Productivity Standard:

• Evaluates and identifies the speech therapy needs of the PWS and provides Speech and Language Habilitation/Rehabilitation services for the patient as ordered by a physician.
• Treats PWS with disabilities, disorders, and injuries related to the area of Speech‑Language Pathology.
• Makes use of therapeutic devices and other equipment to maintain or restore maximum performance of speech and language modalities.
• Plans, directs and supervises PWS, family and/or significant other in the use of equipment and exercise regimen.
• Participates in patient communication and interdisciplinary care planning for individual patient needs.
• Contemporaneous documentation using electronic health records.
• Meet productivity expectation.
• Participate in scheduled supervision.

Required skills:

• Master's degree
• Current SLP New York State License or qualifies for receiving license after completing all requirements
• Current Certificate of Clinical completion in Speech-Language Pathology from the American Speech Language and Hearing Association or qualifies for receiving certificate after completing all requirements
• Meets the education and experience requirements for a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology
• A minimum of one year Speech Therapy experience in a health care setting working with individuals with Developmental Delays preferred.
• Dysphagia experience, a big plus
• AAC experience strongly preferred but not required
• Clinical supervision as needed.
• Abide by the clinical affiliation agreement for interns
