Job summary

Sevita is seeking a Full Time Speech-Language Pathologist in Houston, TX to serve adult patients with low patient ratios in a home and community-based care setting.

The role is salaried with full benefits, no weekend work, paid holidays, and generous PTO. You will assess, plan, and deliver speech-language pathology services, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to improve functional communication and swallowing.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech Therapy or Speech/Language Pathology.
• One year of experience as a Speech Therapist.
• Current state licensure/certification as a Speech Therapist.
• Valid driver’s license in good standing, access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance.
• Successful clearance of local/state background checks.
• Excellent communication skills to manage relationships.
• A reliable, responsible attitude and a compassionate approach.
• A commitment to quality in everything you do.

Responsibilities

• Assess speech and language skills, development, articulation, voice and fluency disorders of individuals served.
• Direct and administer speech therapy using techniques to rehabilitate individuals with functional disabilities of speech, language, voice, and swallowing.
• Review medical records, test and evaluate individuals served and develop therapy treatment plans with intervention strategies.
• Instruct individuals served, family members, and primary caregivers to maintain or achieve ideal functioning levels.
• Ensure effective coordination of home care services.
