Qualifications

• CCC-SLP from ASHA is required, CF considered with supervision on a case-by-case basis.
• At least one year of hospital experience is required.
• Current BLS certification for healthcare providers is required.

Overview

Position: Speech Language Pathologist

Location: Garden City, Michigan

Department: Speech Language Pathology

Shifts Available: Full Time, Days

Gross Pay Per Week: $1,608 to $2,164

Assignment length: 12 weeks

Responsibilities

Responsible for the evaluation, treatment planning and implementation of treatment for patients demonstrating disorders of speech, language, cognition, swallowing and other services prescribed by a physician. Assists in developing and implementing new and ongoing programs beneficial for the enhancement of the department.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

• 1. Graduate of an accredited college or university with a master’s degree in speech-language pathology required.
• 2. Active license to practice speech language pathology in the state of anticipated employment, free of disciplinary action required.
• 3. Active Certificate of Clinical Competency in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), free of disciplinary action – OR - Speech Language Pathology Clinical Fellow (SLP-CFs) to be considered on a case-by-case basis (provided proper supervision can be afforded to the CF) required.
• 4. At least one year of experience in a hospital setting required.
• 5. Current BLS for healthcare provider’s certification upon hire and maintain current.
