Develops and administers speech-language treatment programs to assist patients with communication, cognitive‑linguistic and swallowing disorders in reaching their optimal level of function and independence. Works collaboratively with patient, family members and other team members to design treatment strategies to foster communications and function.
Education: Master's Degree in Speech‑Language Pathology
Skills: Must possess skills consistent with the needs of the department.
Years of Experience: N/A
License: Licensed in the State of Michigan to practice Speech‑Language Pathology
Certification: CPR certification according to hospital policy.
License: Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech‑Language‑Hearing Association
The majority of time spent sitting, standing, and performing patient care treatments. Must possess physical ability and condition to walk through clinic or hospital and handle patients correctly and safely. Be able to handle standard equipment that is in a speech therapy department.
