Job summary

Unified Community Connections in Maryland seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist to provide AAC, AT, and SLP services across multiple locations.

You will train individuals, troubleshoot tools, complete case management, and prepare reports while traveling throughout Central Maryland with travel reimbursement.

Qualified applicants have a ASHA‑accredited Master’s, Maryland SLP licensure, and strong organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree from ASHA-accredited program.
• Must have completed all clinical requirements for SLP per Maryland Board/ASHA.
• Active state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
• Advanced knowledge of AAC and AT devices.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Provide AT setup and training for physical access, cognition, and low vision.
• Provide AAC training services for individuals with disabilities based on plans by a licensed SLP.
• Assist with troubleshooting AAC and AT tools.
• Assist with preparation and organization of training materials and resources.
• Prepare written reports as required.
• Complete case management, including scheduling, billing, and service provision.
• Maintain accurate training logs with relevant data to document client progress.
• Participate in ongoing professional development related to the field.
• Day travel to Montgomery, Frederick, Washington, Carroll, Garrett, and Baltimore with travel reimbursement.

Unique Opportunity for a Speech-Language Pathologist to provide Augmentative & Alternative Communication (AAC), Assistive Technology (AT), and Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) therapy and training services to individuals with a variety of disabilities.Candidates must be willing and able to drive to different locations throughout Central Maryland and should be flexible with their schedule, caseload, and ability to work easily with others.

Duties and Responsibilities Include:

Qualifications

• Hold a Master's Degree from ASHA accredited university
• Must have completed all clinical requirements for Speech-Language Pathologist, as defined by the Maryland Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathologists and the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
• Have active state-level licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLPA)
• Advanced knowledge of AAC and AT devices
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Skills

• Skill in oral and written communication.
• Experience with AAC/AT service provision preferred

The following are required to be considered for employment:

• Valid Driver's License
• Motor Vehicle Record with 2 or less points
• Ability to lift 25 Lbs. unassisted

Physical Requirements

Audio-visual acuity to be able to read small print and perform perceptual diagnostic assessments. Ability to reach, stoop, crouch, push, walk, stand, and lift 25 pounds.
