Job summary

Career Links is seeking qualified Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP) and Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPA) to support students in a school-based setting. Roles involve collaboration with educators, families, and related service providers to address speech, language, and communication needs impacting educational performance.

Minimum qualifications include state licensure, Praxis and jurisprudence exams, and CCC-SLP preferred.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
  • Active license through the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.
  • Passing score on the Praxis exam and Texas Jurisprudence exam.
  • Certification through the Texas Education Agency.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred (CF candidates considered).
  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) with emphasis in speech-language pathology OR related degree with required coursework.
  • Active SLPA license through the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.
  • Successful completion of the Texas Jurisprudence exam for SLPA.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct evaluations, re-evaluations, and diagnostic assessments
  • Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals and treatment plans
  • Provide direct and consultative therapy services
  • Maintain compliance with IDEA, state, and district regulations
  • Participate in PPT (Planning and Placement Team) meetings
  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families
  • Implement speech-language therapy plans developed by the SLP
  • Provide direct services to students as directed
  • Collect data and assist with progress monitoring and documentation
  • Prepare therapy materials and activities
  • Support classroom carryover of communication strategies

For SLP:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a school-based setting
