Job summary

Soliant is seeking an onsite School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist in Wylie, TX. A Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology and a valid TX SLP license are required. CCC from ASHA is preferred; school-based experience is a plus.

The role involves identifying students with communication impairments, collaborating with educational staff, and supporting IEP development. Relocation assistance may be available for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Valid TX State Speech-Language Pathologist license.

• Experience in a school setting preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify students with communication impairments.
• Collaborate with educational staff to assess impact on progress.
• Develop and assist in implementing instructional modifications.
• Provide materials that promote communication development to educators and families; participate in IEP development.
• Maintain caseload with direct/indirect services, collaboration, screenings, and evaluations.
• Maintain student records and performance data.
• Supervise para-educator and graduate students as assigned.
• Mentor new speech-language pathologists.
• Participate in Building Student Improvement Teams and related projects.
• Provide in-service to colleagues.
• Complete all Special Education paperwork including IEPs and Medicaid billing.

Performance Responsibilities

• Identify students with communication impairments.
• Collaborate with other educational staff to determine the impact of communication impairment on student progress.
• Develop and assist in the implementation of instructional and curricular modifications.
• Provide materials that promote communication development to other educators and families. Participate in student IEP development and implementation.
• Develop and maintain a caseload intervention schedule providing time for direct and indirect services, classroom collaboration and co-teaching, screenings and evaluations, materials preparation and voice output device programming.
• Maintain student records and performance data.
• Supervise speech/language-trained para-educator and graduate students as assigned.
• Mentor to new speech/language pathologists.
• Participate as required on Building Student Improvement Teams, speech/language department committees and projects, special education committees, projects, or audits.
• Provide in-service to colleagues.
• Must complete all Special Education paperwork including IEPs and Medicaid billing.
