Post-Acute Rehab Solutions Therapy in Deer Park, TX is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (PRN) to join our interdisciplinary care team. You will provide direct speech therapy services, develop engaging exercises, counsel patients and families, and set measurable goals for progress.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide direct speech therapy services as ordered by a physician and per Plan of Care.

• Review patient files prior to appointments and prepare for sessions.

Responsibilities

• Performs direct speech therapy services to patients as ordered by a physician and in accordance with the Plan of Care.
• Prepare engaging exercises and activities to use during speech sessions with patients
• Provide counseling and consultations for new patients and their family members
• Create goals and objectives for patients to work toward and identify areas of progress and challenges
• Prepare speech pathology equipment ensuring proper sterilization and safety procedures are followed
• Review the patient's file prior to their appointment and have a clear understanding of the challenge to be addressed
• Attend continuing education courses and work to advance personal knowledge and experience within the field

Requirements

• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Therapy and Licensed in the State of Texas
• Proficiency in computer software commonly used for documentation and report preparation
• Master's degree in speech therapy is required
• Demonstrate knowledge and adherence to HIPAA legislation and other patient privacy law
• Experience working with sensitive and personal patient records and information
• Proficient in troubleshooting common software and hardware challenges in relation to the regular use of speech pathology tools
• Physical endurance and the ability to work primarily in a standing position
• A friendly and professional demeanor is required when explaining procedures and treatments
• Accountability and attention to detail is essential when handling and documenting patient data.
