Job summary

TheraPeds Partners is hiring a Speech-Language Pathologist for on-site school-based services in Colorado. The role includes direct therapy, evaluations, and IEP development for PreK-12 students.

The candidate will collaborate with teachers, families, and district staff, manage caseloads, and ensure progress documentation, with CF-SLP considerations and full-time hours. State licensure required or eligible.

Qualifications

  • Master's or Doctoral degree in SLP from an accredited program.
  • Active or eligible for Colorado SLP licensure.
  • Colorado Department of Education certification/credential for school-based practice.
  • ASHA CCC‑SLP preferred.
  • CF-SLP candidates considered with supervision available.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct speech and language therapy to students individually and in small groups.
  • Conduct speech and language evaluations and assessments.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized IEP goals.
  • Evaluate student progress and adjust intervention strategies based on data.
  • Provide consultation and support to teachers, staff, and families.
  • Support articulation, phonology, language, fluency, and AAC needs.
  • Monitor progress and collect data for progress reports.
  • Participate in IEP/eligibility/reevaluation/interdisciplinary team meetings.
  • Collaborate with school professionals and families.

Position Details
  • Full-time: 36-38 hours per week
  • School year: September 2026-May 2027
  • Grades: Elementary - High School
  • Setting: On-site, in-person
  • Pay: $65-$80/hour, based on experience and employment arrangement
  • Weekly compensation is based on 37.5 hours
  • Guaranteed hours, including designated documentation, planning, and administrative time

What You'll Do
  • Providing direct speech and language therapy services to students individually and in small groups
  • Conducting speech and language evaluations and assessments
  • Developing, implementing, and monitoring individualized IEP goals
  • Evaluating student progress and adjusting intervention strategies based on student needs and data
  • Providing consultation and support to teachers, special education staff, and families
  • Supporting students with articulation, phonology, receptive and expressive language, fluency, voice, social/pragmatic communication, and other communication needs
  • Supporting students who use augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), as appropriate
  • Monitoring student performance and collecting data to measure progress
  • Completing timely and accurate documentation and progress reports
  • Participating in IEP, eligibility, reevaluation, and interdisciplinary team meetings
  • Managing assigned student caseloads and required documentation
  • Collaborating with teachers, special education staff, families, therapists, administrators, and other school professionals
  • Providing case management services, as assigned
What We're Looking For
  • Master's or doctoral degree from an accredited Speech-Language Pathology program
  • Active or eligible for Colorado Speech-Language Pathologist licensure
  • Appropriate Colorado Department of Education certification or credential for school-based practice, as required
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
  • Clinical Fellowship (CF-SLP) candidates may be considered , with appropriate supervision available
  • Experience working with children
  • School-based experience preferred, but not required
  • Strong understanding of speech and language development, assessment, intervention, and progress monitoring
  • Knowledge of the IEP process and special education services
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational, documentation, case-management, and time-management skills
  • Comfortable using technology for documentation, communication, assessment, and service delivery
  • Ability to successfully complete required fingerprinting and background clearances
  • Ability to work collaboratively with students, families, educators, administrators, and related-service professionals
  • Professionalism, tact, discretion, and respect for student and family confidentiality
  • Master's or PhD degree from a Speech‑Language Pathology program
  • State License as Speech-Language Pathologist Department of Education Licensure as a SLP National License: ASHA Licensing with the State Department of Education, where required CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) preferred CF-SLP placement may be available
  • Experience working with children Experience in a school setting preferred, but not required Organizational and time management skills Proficient in use of technology Fingerprint background clearance Ability to collaborate with school staff and parents with a demonstrated ability to exercise a high level of tact and discretion in both internal and external communications
Physical Requirements

School-based therapy is active and hands-on. The Provider must be able to safely participate with students in a variety of school environments and activities.
