Job summary

Recover-Care Healthcare in Beloit, Kansas is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with speech or language disorders, and to develop individualized treatment programs.

Under physician direction, provide direct patient care, screen residents, and develop care plans; administer tests, educate families, and maintain records while traveling as needed.

Qualifications

  • Master’s or Doctorate in Speech-Language Pathology required.
  • State licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist required.
  • Proficiency with applicable state, federal, and professional standards.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with speech, hearing, cognitive, or swallowing issues.
  • Under a physician's direction, provide direct patient treatment based on established plan of care.
  • Screens and evaluates residents and develops appropriate care plans.
  • Plans, directs, or conducts rehabilitative treatment programs to restore communicative efficiency of individuals with communication and/or swallowing or cognitive problems.
  • Administers, scores, and interprets specialized hearing and speech tests.
  • Educates residents, families, and caregivers to monitor speech and provide ways to practice new skills.
  • Completes required forms and documents in accordance with company policy and state and/or federal regulations.
  • Maintains patient records in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Devises special tools and treatments for the specific needs of patients.

Job Summary

The Speech Pathologist will evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with speech or language disorders, formulate individualized treatment programs.

Duties/Responsibilities
  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with speech, hearing, cognitive, or swallowing issues.
  • Under a physician's direction, provides direct patient / resident treatment based on established plan of care.

  • Instructs residents, families, and caregivers to monitor speech and provide ways to practice new skills.

Education and Experience
  • Graduate of an accredited Masters, or Doctorate in Speech language Pathology.
  • State license as a speech pathologist required.
  • Proficiency with all applicable state, federal, and professional standards
Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
