Job summary

Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, part of the Johns Hopkins Health System, seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist specializing in outpatient rehab. Provides medically prescribed services to restore function and help patients reach their maximum level of independence.

Responsibilities include assessments and treatment activities with patients, and collaboration with the care team. Requires Master’s in SLP, state licensure, and CCC preferred; Fellowship and post-acute rehab experience are

Qualifications

• Must have Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Current State licensure as Speech-Language Pathologist required.
• CCC from ASHA preferred but not mandatory.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Fellowship completed in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Minimum 1 year experience in post-acute rehab settings.

Responsibilities

• Provides medically prescribed speech-language pathology services for inpatients or outpatients to restore function and maximize independence.
• Conducts assessments and treatment activities with patients.
• Collaborates with care team to ensure comprehensive rehab planning.

Skills

Clinical Fellowship completed

Post-Acute rehab experience

Education

Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology

State licensure as Speech-Language Pathologist

Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC) from ASHA

Position Summary: The Speech Language Pathologist specializing in Outpatient Rehab

Provides medically prescribed services for inpatients and/or outpatients to restore function, minimize disability following disease, or injury, and to assist the patient in reaching his/her maximum possible level of functioning to assume a place in society while learning to live within the limits of his/her disability.

The job duties are to provide assessments and treatment activities with patients.

Requires normal courtesy and tact in dealing with others.

Education: Required Licensure, Certification, Etc.

Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology.

Current State licensure as Speech Language Pathologist required

Certificate of Clinical Competency from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association preferred.

Current CPR certification.

Work Experience:

Successful completion of Speech-Language Pathology Clinical Fellowship

One year experience in Speech Language Pathology in a Post-Acute rehab setting is required

Salary Range:

Minimum $34.62/hour - Maximum $57.19/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
