Job summary

Johns Hopkins Medicine in Baltimore, MD seeks a Speech Language Pathologist specializing in Pediatrics-Acute Care to evaluate, plan and treat patients within the Speech Language Pathology service. You’ll document assessments, provide therapy, and educate patients, families, and hospital staff to maximize outcomes.

Requirements include a Masters in Speech-Language Pathology with current state licensure; CCC from ASHA preferred; infant feeding/swallowing experience and CPR certification are

Qualifications

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.
  • Current State licensure as Speech-Language Pathologist required.
  • CCC-Certificate of Clinical Competency from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association preferred.
  • Current CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

  • Provides evaluation, program planning and treatment referred to Speech Language Pathology.
  • Provides assessments and treatment activities with patients.
  • Documents assessments and education to patients, families, hospital staff, and students.
  • Ensures patients reach maximum potential through high-quality care and contribute to medical management.

The Speech Language Pathologist specializing in Pediatrics-Acute Care:
  • Provides evaluation, program planning and treatment referred to Speech Language Pathology.
  • The job duties are to provide assessments and treatment activities with patients.
  • Provides documentation of the above and education to patients, families, hospital staff, and students.
  • Ensures that all patients are supported in reaching their maximum potential through high-quality care and contributions to medical management provided by the Speech-Language Pathologist, while also promoting the therapist’s ongoing professional growth and contributions to the medical center.
Shift: Full time- 40 hours per week- Dayshift- Monday -Friday
Work Experience
  • Successful completion of Speech Language Pathology Clinical Fellowship
  • Infant feeding/swallowing experience required.
  • Acute care experience preferred.
Education

Required Licensure, Certification, Etc.

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Current State licensure as Speech Language Pathologist required
  • Certificate of Clinical Competency from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association preferred.
  • Current CPR certification.
Salary Range

Minimum $34.62/hour - Maximum $57.19/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
