Job description

The Speech Language Pathologist II will provide direct patient care, assessing and treating communication (speech/language), oral motor, and feeding/swallowing disorders. Responsibilities include administering department and program functions, supervising speech-language pathologists at various levels, maintaining documentation related to services offered, and participating in intra- and interdisciplinary training programs.

Responsibilities

1. Provide assessments and treatments for functional communication, oral motor, and feeding/swallowing, considering patients and families' needs and interests.
2. Supervise graduate students and clinical fellows, in accordance with experience and expertise.
3. Maintain documentation aligned with Institute and Department standards, as well as guidelines from The Joint Commission, CARF, and ASHA.
4. Participate in intra-disciplinary and interdisciplinary activities related to patient care, such as team conferences and staff development.
5. Maintain professional licensure and certifications at the state and national levels, adhering to standards set by the Institute and the Program.
6. Engage in departmental and community outreach activities, including presentations and committee service.
7. Assist supervisors in setting and achieving professional growth and development goals.

Minimum pay range: USD $61,845.00/year. Maximum pay range: USD $109,392.00/year.
