A leading healthcare provider is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist II to assess and treat communication disorders. The role includes supervising clinical fellows and providing direct patient care, focusing on a diverse patient population. Candidates must hold a relevant master's degree and possess certification for practice in Maryland.

The Speech Language Pathologis t II will provide direct patient care for assessing and treating communication (i.e. speech/language), oral motor, and feeding/swallowing disorders: administering department and program functions; supervising speech language pathologist at various levels: maintaining documentation relative to services offered: and participating in intra and interdisciplinary training programs.
Responsibilities
Provide functional communication (i.e., speech/language), oral motor, and feeding/swallowing assessment or treatment, with consideration to patients and families’ needs and interest.
Supervise graduate students, clinical fellows (concordant with level of experience and expertise).
Maintain documentation consistent with Institute and Department expectations for all activities, as well as guidelines by The Joint Commission, CARF and ASHA.
Participate in intra-disciplinary and interdisciplinary activities relative to patient care (e.g., team conferences and professional training (e.g., staff development activities).
Maintain appropriate professional affiliations for state and national licensure/certification as well as following standards set forth by the Institute and the Program.
Participate in departmental activities and outreach activities in the community (e.g., presentations, service on committees).
Assist supervisor in setting and implementing goals for professional growth and development.
Qualifications
Current CPR certification.
*Individual must demonstrate competence across all age groups due to the diversity of the children and families served by KKI.
*Clinical care focus is on the neonate, pediatric, and adolescent populations, as well as some adults with disabilities.
EDUCATION:
Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology, with related clinical requirements.
Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology granted by the American Speech Language and Hearing Association.
Eligible for Maryland State Licensure in Speech Language Pathology.
