Job summary

Spurwink is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist for our Portland Day Treatment Program. The role is full-time and involves screening, evaluation, treatment, and consultation for youth aged 5 to 20 with behavioral, emotional, and developmental disabilities.

You will work within a multidisciplinary team, provide in-class and out-of-class instruction, and contribute to staff training. A $5,000 sign-on bonus and strong benefits accompany the position.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Communication Disorders and Maine State License in Speech-Language Pathology required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat speech, language, voice, fluency, and dysphagia within a multidisciplinary team.
• Provide consultation, direct instruction, and modeling in and out of the classroom to develop language/communication.
• Offer in-service education and consult with clinical/educational staff on communication strategies.
• Supervise speech pathology interns and assistants when applicable.

The position will offer a diverse professional experience including screening, evaluation, treatment, and consultation for youth with behavioral, emotional, and developmental disabilities, ages 5 to 20.

• Provide consultation, direct instruction, and modeling both in and out of the classroom to develop a total language/communication environment.
• Provide in-service education and/or consultation to clinical and educational personnel concerning communication intervention strategies.
• Supervise assigned speech pathology interns and assistants when applicable.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Master's degree in Communication Disorders and Maine State License in Speech-Language Pathology required.
