Job summary

Tutor Me LA LLC is looking for passionate educators to serve as In-Home Special Education Tutors across California. This flexible, part-time role involves delivering personalized academic instruction and support tailored to individual students’ needs, IEP goals, and learning styles. Ideal candidates will have relevant educational backgrounds and experience supporting neurodivergent students.

The position offers $25-$35+ per hour based on qualifications and workloads, with opportunities to grow hours by taking on more students. Candidates must be empathetic, reliable, and able to travel locally for client meetings.

Overview

At Tutor Me Education, we connect passionate educators with neurodivergent students for high-impact, 1:1 in-home tutoring. As an In-Home Special Education Tutor, you'll deliver personalized academic instruction, socio-emotional support, and patient behavioral guidance aligned to each student's learning style and IEP goals — in the student’s home. This is a flexible, part-time W-2 employee role. Start with one student (2-10 hrs/week) and take on additional students to grow hours and income.

Pay: $25-$35+ per hour, based on credentials, specialization, and the needs of the student. Higher rates apply for credentialed or specialized tutors, higher-need cases, and bilingual matches.

Hours and Location: 2-10 hrs/week to start, in-home across California. Room to grow.

Responsibilities

Who We\'re Looking For

• AA, BA, or higher (Special Education, Psychology, or Education preferred)
• Hands-on experience supporting students with special needs or learning differences (e.g., ASD, ADHD, Dyslexia) — currently enrolled college students with this experience are encouraged to apply
• Empathy, patience, and a student-first approach
• Reliable vehicle for local travel to client homes
• Ability to pass a background check
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) a strong plus — premium rates available for bilingual matches
