Job summary

Tutor Me LA LLC is looking for passionate In-Home Special Education Tutors to provide personalized academic instruction to neurodivergent students across California. You will implement creative lesson plans aligned with IEP goals, ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment.

This part-time role offers flexibility to start with 2-10 hours per week, with potential to increase hours. Ideal candidates will have experience with students with special needs, a relevant degree, and an empathetic approach.

Overview

At Tutor Me Education, we connect passionate educators with neurodivergent students for high-impact, 1:1 in-home tutoring. As an In-Home Special Education Tutor, you'll deliver personalized academic instruction, socio-emotional support, and patient behavioral guidance aligned to each student's learning style and IEP goals — in the student’s home. This is a flexible, part-time W-2 employee role. Start with one student (2-10 hrs/week) and take on additional students to grow hours and income.

Pay: $25-$35+ per hour, based on credentials, specialization, and the needs of the student. Higher rates apply for credentialed or specialized tutors, higher-need cases, and bilingual matches.

Hours and Location: 2-10 hrs/week to start, in-home across California. Room to grow.

Responsibilities

Who We\'re Looking For

• AA, BA, or higher (Special Education, Psychology, or Education preferred)
• Hands-on experience supporting students with special needs or learning differences (e.g., ASD, ADHD, Dyslexia) — currently enrolled college students with this experience are encouraged to apply
• Empathy, patience, and a student-first approach
• Reliable vehicle for local travel to client homes
• Ability to pass a background check
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) a strong plus — premium rates available for bilingual matches

Requirements

• AA, BA, or higher (Special Education, Psychology, or Education preferred)
