Job summary

Tutor Me LA LLC is seeking an In-Home Special Education Tutor to provide personalized, 1:1 academic support to neurodivergent students in California. The role is flexible and part-time, starting with 2-10 hours per week. Ideal candidates will have a background in Special Education or related fields, hands-on experience with special needs students, and a reliable vehicle.

Overview

At Tutor Me Education, we connect passionate educators with neurodivergent students for high-impact, 1:1 in-home tutoring. As an In-Home Special Education Tutor, you'll deliver personalized academic instruction, socio-emotional support, and patient behavioral guidance aligned to each student's learning style and IEP goals — in the student’s home. This is a flexible, part-time W-2 employee role. Start with one student (2-10 hrs/week) and take on additional students to grow hours and income.

Pay: $25-$35+ per hour, based on credentials, specialization, and the needs of the student. Higher rates apply for credentialed or specialized tutors, higher-need cases, and bilingual matches.

Hours and Location: 2-10 hrs/week to start, in-home across California. Room to grow.

Responsibilities

• Lead engaging 1:1 sessions tailored to students with diverse learning needs
• Implement creative lesson plans aligned to each student\'s IEP goals (resources and support provided)
• Adapt academic materials to each student\'s learning profile
• Track progress after each session and maintain open, empathetic communication with parents/guardians
• Foster a safe, inclusive environment that builds confidence and resilience

Who We\'re Looking For
