Job summary

South Orange & Maplewood School District is seeking a Special Education Teacher (Pull Out Replacement) for Delia Bolden Elementary School, available September 2026. The candidate should have elementary experience in a special education classroom or in-class resource support with behavior modification exposure and a collaborative mindset.

Requirements include NJ Teacher of the Handicapped or Teacher of Students with Disabilities, with ELA certification preferred.

THE POSITION

Candidate should have elementary school experience working in a special education classroom, or with in-class resource support and behavior modification experience. Candidate should desire to work cooperatively with academic teachers within a team concept.

QUALIFICATIONS

POSITION TITLE TEACHER

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  1. New Jersey Instructional Certificate or eligibility.

REPORTS TO Principal

JOB GOAL(S) To provide instructional leadership in the classroom in accordance with the course of study approved by the Board of Education approved curriculum.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Implements instruction to meet the individual needs, interests, and abilities of students.
