Job summary

Point Quest Group is seeking a Special Education Teacher (Mod/Severe) in the Fairfield, CA area. The role involves providing specialized instruction to students with diverse needs, implementing IEPs, and collaborating with district staff across the Greater Sacramento region.

The position offers a potential placement bonus up to $10k, full benefits for full-time staff, and opportunities for substitutes. Candidates must hold state certification or eligibility and meet background clearance

Qualifications

State-specific certification or eligibility (or substitute teaching permit) required.
DOJ/FBI Live Scan background and TB clearance as required by the state.

Responsibilities

Implement IEP goals through small group and individualized instruction.
Support general education curriculum with appropriate accommodations and modifications.
Assist with classroom behavior management using PBIS strategies.
Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers.
Maintain accurate documentation and support IEP compliance.
Track and report student progress toward academic and behavioral goals.
Communicate regularly with families and school staff.
Support students with assistive technology and communication tools as needed.
