Job summary

Point Quest Group is seeking a Special Education Teacher (Mod/Severe) in the Fairfield, CA area. The role involves providing specialized instruction to students with diverse needs, implementing IEPs, and collaborating with district staff across the Greater Sacramento region.

The position offers a potential placement bonus up to $10k, full benefits for full-time staff, and opportunities for substitutes. Candidates must hold state certification or eligibility and meet background clearance

Qualifications

• State-specific certification or eligibility (or substitute teaching permit) required.
• DOJ/FBI Live Scan background and TB clearance as required by the state.

Responsibilities

• Implement IEP goals through small group and individualized instruction.
• Support general education curriculum with appropriate accommodations and modifications.
• Assist with classroom behavior management using PBIS strategies.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers.
• Maintain accurate documentation and support IEP compliance.
• Track and report student progress toward academic and behavioral goals.
• Communicate regularly with families and school staff.
• Support students with assistive technology and communication tools as needed.
