Job summary

EDU-AIDs is seeking a dedicated SPED Teacher to support Kindergarten and 2nd grade students in Philadelphia, PA for the 2026-2027 school year. The role involves delivering specialized instruction, implementing IEPs, and collaborating with teachers and staff.

The candidate will promote an inclusive classroom, monitor progress toward IEP goals, and engage with families during meetings. A Pennsylvania SPED certificate is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Education, or a related field.
• Valid Pennsylvania Special Education Teaching Certificate.
• Experience working with elementary-aged students preferred.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Ability to support students with diverse learning needs and IEP requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs.
• Implement IEPs and provide push-in and pull-out services based on student needs.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and school staff.
• Monitor and document student progress toward IEP goals.
• Differentiate instruction and develop appropriate learning strategies.
• Maintain a positive, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment.
• Communicate with parents and participate in IEP meetings as needed.
